Melt preparation additives are vital for optimizing metal casting processes, enhancing both quality and efficiency. The Carburon® range consists of high-purity carbons designed for use as recarburizers in the iron and steel melt preparation process.
These carburants are specially selected and processed to deliver efficient dissolution, precise carbon additions, and consistent performance with every pour, engineered to meet the exacting demands of modern melt shops.
Graphitized and calcined carbon dissolve rapidly in melts, reducing melt time and energy consumption.
With controlled carbon content and size distribution, Carburon ensures accurate carbon addition during the process.
The combination of graphitized/calcined carbon and precise sizing guarantees consistent performance with each pour.
The Carburon LS(low sulphur) grade features a low sulfur content (0.02–0.06%, typically 0.03%), minimizing the need for Ferro Silicon Magnesium as a desulphurizer.
The high bulk density and well-sized grains of Carburon ensure secure induction into the melt, preventing oxidation losses and minimizing environmental impact.

Delivers efficient dissolution and precise carbon additions for consistent iron melt quality.
Ensures secure induction into the melt with reduced oxidation losses during steel processing.
The Carburon Low-Sulphur (LS) grade is suited to processes where minimizing sulphur pickup is critical.
