Since 1863, the Durrans Group has supplied the world’s manufacturing industries with refractory coatings and carbon materials, operating 9 manufacturing sites worldwide.

Because no two foundry processes are the same, coatings must be customized to the application, not the other way around. At MDR, we provide bespoke, tailor-made refractory coatings, formulated using Zircon, Graphite, Aluminium Silicate, Mixed Refractories, Magnesite, and Specialty Refractories, available in solvent and water formulations, and applied by dipping, brushing, spraying, or flooding.

Vacuum (V-Process) Casting

This process uses unbonded dry sand stabilized by vacuum pressure rather than chemical binders.

Powder-Based Coatings

Formulated for on-site dilution, allowing foundries to adjust viscosity and application parameters to suit specific process requirements, while optimizing freight and storage costs.
